  5. When  Diesel and Deelite called me up
  6. and  asked  me  to  review  so called
  7. ³'scene-music'¹  on Amiga, I thought it
  8. sound interesting because I had heard
  9. about  the  scene;  although I didn't
  10. know  what  it  was  all about.  They
  11. gave  me  some songs(hrm, quite a lot
  12. of them, actually!) to listen at, and
  13. I  was  really stunned by the musical
  14. quality  of  only four channels and 8
  15. bit  samples at low rates.  It's hard
  16. to  grade the songs individual, since
  17. I  am  not  a member of the so called
  18. scene.   It's  hard  to  say  that  a
  19. certain  musician, or song, is better
  20. than  the  other.  I decided to leave
  21. the  grades  out,  because  I find it
  22. impossible  to  judge  music  in that
  23. way.   Some  musicians  had a general
  24. better  class,  and  I  must say that
  25. there  were songs that I didn't think
  26. were  possible to do with such simple
  27. mediums.   I  have  tried to write as
  28. easy  as  possible,  because  I don't
  29. think   everybody  is  interested  in
  30. musical  terms.  The musicians judged
  31. maybe  think  that it would have been
  32. more  interesting  if I'd used a more
  33. technical   language,  but  technical
  34. terms  can  easily  be  misunderstood
  35. even   by   the   musician   himself.
  36. Anyway,  I  hope  you  will  find  my
  37. opinion worth reading!
